milan fashion week: prada love

Love the prints, of course. I think Miuccia really outdid herself this year though, and I think there's a lot more pants in this collection than in the last few I can recall. I especially covet that bad though. I'm not sure how I feel about the shoes though. I've been hearing that flat, menswear-inspired shoes have been all over the Milan runways this season. Of course, as someone who can't really wear crazy heels anymore, of course I don't lament this trend. The longer I look at them, the more I like them, I can say that. And they do look super comfortable. And they are definitely more attractive than those dang Creepers.

obi belts at zac posen

New York Fashion Week is just starting to wind down, and I'm afraid I haven't been keeping up with it as well as I have in the past. But the flared obi belts at Zac Posen on Sunday definitely caught my eye, because you know I love a good kimono. The press seemed to like them too, though the way they talked about them, I was surprised to find they only graced two looks from the collection. Asian influences seem to be everywhere in New York for fall though, with Jason Wu also being inspired by a '30s style
chinoiserie.
